Type 2 Diabetes is a metabolic disorder resulting from the body's inability to make enough insulin that is needed for insulin resistance. When insulin is not produced, the body cannot move blood sugar into the cells. Some risk factors for type 2 diabetes include age, family history, being overweight, and poor nutrition. While there are other types of diabetes, type 2 is the most common.
